Oregon Hosts 2025 Speedster Royal Capell
Oregon continues to work the state of Texas as a recruiting pipeline. Last year the Ducks were successful in the Lone Star State and are working on some pieces in the 2025 class.
While Oregon already has a wide receiver commit from the state of Texas, they hosted another target last weekend. Steele (Texas) wide receiver Royal Capell visited Oregon this past weekend as the Ducks hosted Cal.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder is the No. 247 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He gave us a quick rundown of his visit and where Oregon stands following the trip.

Oregon’s offensive coordinator, Will Stein, leaned on his time in Texas to relate to Capell.
“Coach Lanning was telling me how they really want me here. And coach (Will) Stein also. I talked to him about him coming from San Antonio and he’s trying to bring more people from the city to Oregon.”
Capell said the trip really made an impression on him and put Oregon in a good spot early on.
“They’re definitely in my top 5. And after the visit they’re very high on that list.”
Oklahoma currently leads the On3 RPM at 57%. Baylor trails the Sooners at 26%.
